There will be 86 questions on the exam.

 

Listening-You will need to:

  • Understand when someone is describing city life or life in a small village
  • Understand whether a conversation is taking place at the supermarket, at a family dinner, at a market, or at a restaurant or café
  • Understand  conversations about food and select the logical completion
  • Understand conversations about movies, sporting events, future plans, and invitations and be able to select the logical completion.
  • Understand friends talking about what they miss
  • Understand a conversation in which  a person describes their childhood and determine whether the memories are positive or negative

 

 

Reading- You will need to:

  • Understand publication about various restaurants and be able to determine what one would eat at each restaurant as well as the hours of operation of each restaurant
  • Understand an entertainment guide and answer questions about what one could do on the weekend
  • Understand the comments of a person talking about a film and match the genre of the film with the comments
  • Understand the ads for two different châteaux and be able to determine what activities one can do at each château, how much the tour costs, the location of the château, and  the hours of operation
  • Understand the announcements at a Maison de Jeunes et de la Culture and match the descriptions with the comments made regarding the announcements
  • Understand an article about music and sports and answer various questions about the article
  • Understand the descriptions of photos from a vacation in Côte d’Ivoire and match the captions with the pictures

Cultural information you will need to:

  • Know the difference between a château fort and a château de le Renaissance
  • Read a description of a château and determine if it is the château of Chambord or Chenonceau
