French II- Il faut bien se nourrir!

DO not open Skyward while we are in the lab. You will need to take care of this on your own time. We have MUCH too much to do today.

Objective: You will analyze the food pyramid to create a healthy menu for one week.

Pre-activity:

1.Be sure you can access your wikispace page

Period 6

Period 7

If you have forgotten your username, check the history of your page. If you switched classes, you will use your old page.

2. Create a blank Powerpoint. Do not add any special backgrounds. This needs to be blank.

Tasks

1. See how well you know the food pyramid.

Complete the game and take a  screen shot (CTRL+ Print Screen) of your food pyramid. Paste this into your Powerpoint. Use the picture tool bar to crop extra borders from your image.  Analyze your results using:

2. Make a personalized food pyramid

When you have created your guide, you will save your PDF with your name.

Take a screen shot of the page and save it in your Powerpoint.  Crop any extra borders from your image. You will also print out the guide at the end of the period.

 

3. Create a healthy menu for one week  based on your choices from your menu.

Create a table using mine as a guide.  Using your PDF, create a healthy menu  in French for one week.

4. Convert your Powerpoint to JPEG 

a. You will convert your Powerpoint to JPEGs and insert the JPEGs into your Wiki.

b. When you SAVE AS JPEG you will have the option of exporting all slides into a folder.

c. Open the folder and RENAME the JPEGS with your last name1, last name2, and last name 3.

d. Insert the files to your wiki (you will place them at the top) and click twice and save each JPEG.

e. Insert the actual Powerpoint as well in case you need to make any changes.

Imagine that you are house shopping in France and you have just found a wonderful new home. Write an email to your friend in which you describe your house in detail. Tell your friend what your house has- Elle a… and what your house doesn ‘t have- Elle n’a pas de…  Use adjectives like grand(e) and petit(e) to describe your house. Your email should have descriptions of at least three things. Use Wordreference ONLY to look up vocabulary. You should NOT be using an online translator to complete this exercise. I will be looking!!
